Slickline is more commonly used in production tubing. The wireline operator monitors at surface the slickline tension via a weight indicator gauge and the depth via a depth counter 'zeroed' from surface, lowers the downhole tool to the proper depth, completes the job by manipulating the downhole tool mechanically, checks to make sure it worked if possible, and pulls the tool back out by winding the slickline back onto the drum it was spooled from.
To get accurate data of bottom hole P-T in static / shut-in well condition. The well has to be shut in at least about 24 hours to get stable. Determine liquid level, static reservoir pressure. When running this survey, just remind to the SOP system, do not exceed running speed to max of 200 ft/min.
Beginning with flowing the well until get stable rate. Continued with shut-in the well, usually at wing valve or also with DHSIT (to avoid Well Bore Storage). Build Up pressure recorded as function of shut-in time. Determine:
